I first began losing my hair in my early twenties, right about the time my "mates" started to notice and torment me to no end. I tried to hide it under hats and fob it off, but it was, and still is, devastating. I decided that I would do something about it. I remembered seeing a few advertisements about laser brushes and how they can regrow your own hair so, like so many other suckers, I bought oneā¦FAIL! After that I enquired through a clinic and paid $8,000 for a 6 month treatment (sucker I know!). I did get short-term results from the clinic but I didn't get follow up service or continued results, eventually my hairline deteriorated again. So I did the unthinkable and went back (yes the staff were attractive). This time I was "lucky" enough to be an "old" client and received a discount on a new package, wait it gets better... this time I paid $6,000 for 6 months and they threw in their own laser brush, which in their words was of much higher quality. When my program concluded I continued taking the medication but, once again, had short-term results and no follow up, not to mention poor service. The thing about losing your hair is that it is so soul destroying that you will do almost anything to regrow your own hair. Which is why I unfortunately approached another clinic, even after my earlier experiences. They quoted $10,000 for 6 months and the guy didn't even have his own business cards, he just crossed the last guy's name off an old card! I then went to another well-known clinic and the price was $2,400 with no guarantee. Alarm bells should have rung but, as I said, you are willing to do anything to regrow your own hair. Once again I had some positive results but only for the time I was at the clinic. I have spent thousands of dollars and countless hours driving to clinic appointments to finally realise that I could be doing this at home. I know Low Level Laser Therapy (LLLT) works in combination with natural and prescription medication so why not do it myself? ![]() |
